Tiny Goldcrest on wood Greetings Card

Greetings Card based on an original watercolour and permanent fineliner on wood painting of my own.

“This morning, as I glanced into our garden, a tiny flicker of a bird caught my eye. A flit. Quick as a flash. Focussing my eyes upon it, I realised it was a tiny goldcrest, perhaps a fledgling! But a youngster for sure! .

I shouted on my family… come see! Come SEE! A whispered shout, you know the kind! 💚💛

We watched, as this tiny bird, Scotland’s smallest, dotted about our garden for moments. Onto fence posts, bird feeder, plant, tree… and then gone.

What a delight! What magic! What a wonderful way to start the day!

We have since been for our family walk/jog in order to keep up with bike riding littles. Along green lined paths. Surrounded by nature. .

What does the rest of this day have in store…? I’m hoping for more magic! “
