BEACON of HOPE Clover – Little Me – Nature Girl
£25.00
A fine art Giclee print of my original watercolour and graphite pencil artwork.
An illustration of a ‘little me’ Tiny Bluebelle, clutching onto a Pink Clover, held aloft.
“The ancients, depicted hope… as a little girl stood on tippy toes. Clutching onto a bloom of clover.
I often feel the need to hold a pink clover in my hand when I find one. Not to pick, but to look at close up.
Much like this one from by the beach at Leven, here in Fife. A favourite place to walk.
Indeed, a favourite place to imagine hopeful things.
Love. My family. Possibilities. Imaginings. To look at the birds. To listen to their calls. To walk upon sand and stones. Look into rock pools. Place one foot before the other and breathe in the day.
Strides taken. Hope in each one.
Just now, hope feels like a commodity, like any other, we must somehow try to find from somewhere.
Not to be bartered or budgeted. Not to be monetized or monopolized….
But to be conjured. Held aloft so we can see from each of our very own handfuls of clover to the next.
Beacons along the coast. Flames of pink. From Leven, to Aberdeen. Cornwall, to Cambridge. Thurso, to Whitby… lighting up the seas around us, and the peaks and fells in between.
Crimson hued. Bright and shining.
Let’s look for the clovers.
I’m holding onto mine.”
