Early Morning Run, and Elephant Hawk Moth… As if meant to be
-
I felt so lucky to have spotted this beauty of an Elephant Hawk Moth on my early morning run today. Sat upon pavement, right beside a main road, I let him walk onto my hand before placing over the walk onto woodland foliage.
Moments like this, are one of the many reasons I run. I see nature up close, and I stop to take all of it in. Lucky moments of circumstance and eyes on the look out. Running intertwines with inspiration. The two are the same, to me.
I’ve so hoped to see an elephant hawk moth for a few years now, where we live. I’ve seen them before in other areas, and knew they were around, but today was the first of me spotting one nearby.
What a way to begin a day… a successful run, where I was aware of my fitness improving. Longer sprints and more effort given and available.
And this… a moth of such wonder.
